  • On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me eight maids a-milking, seven swans a-swimming, six geese a-laying (down on the job?), five golden rings, four calling birds, three French hens, two turtledoves, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Boy, it was tough having the day off today.  Steve ran his FR D&D 3.0 campaign for almost twelve hours.  However, I had a lot of calls from family and friends during the course of it.  Most significant were those calls of my parents who were at my house here to see about finishing the restroom remodeling past the point of what I know what to do.  It looks rather nice.  Next I need to work on my other restroom, kitchen, and roof.  Wow, am I tired however.  So I'll just go to bed.rather than allow myself to fall asleep here yet again.

    Happy New Year!

This evening after work my boss offered to give me a ride to Tempe, so I hung out at his place for a few hours until it was time to show up at Kitty and Rusty's place.  We chatted about bad employees at his previous job and how much better a place to work our current workplace is.

After that, Kitty and Rusty hosted a party for Jen, Monte, Steve, Trav, and I.  They had a lot of different good, bad, and strange foods.  We chatted, watched bits of the Lord of the Rings on Stars!, lit a chemical "crackling-action" log in their new fire pit, and ate some of the food.  Afterward, Monte gave me a ride home.

Why am I still up?  Well, my parents are coming over before I go to Steve's game and they asked me to clean up first.  So, with everything but vacuuming (its too late to be that noisy in my opinion) and a few last loads of dishes left to do I thought I'd come on here real quick.  I'll be back after the game tomorrow!
