  • Today I unburied my kalimba and tried playing a couple things from the Middle Earth Songbook I recently aquired.  I suck.  I don't think I can be ready for when The Two Towers comes out, but if I start now I might be able to be OK-ish by The Return of the King.  Maybe.  Cross all of our fingers.


    Well today was awesome.  No items on the calendar.  Nowhere I had to be until work tomorrow.  I wish all days were like that.  I didn't have to take vacation time.  It was a normal weekend day off.  No one had made demands on my time today.  It wa great.

    I got some cleaning done in my room.  I paid some bills.  Made some important phone calls.  Cleaned out some old E-mails.  Paid attention to my cats.  IMed with some friends.  Typed up minutes for the LepreCon Program Team meeting last week.  Enjoyed the rain.  Bent a key on my kalimba by accident. 

    All in time for the holidays and the prerequisite overtime, I managed to obtain one refreshingly carefree day.  Thank you Lord for that gift.  It is more priceless than gold.
