  • Well, I didn't wait after all.  After a jaunt through the caverns of TLGD drug out for what seemed an eternity, I decided to get Avant Browser.  Thanks for

So, today I get online figuring that my problem was fixed.  It still is, but now I have a new one.  Bill is on another one of his throw-all-of-his-friends-away kicks.  Each time he pulls this its a little harder to care.  As a friend, I don't want to abandon him to his darkness, but he makes it hard by attacking and abusing us.  As it is, even when he's not trying to end a friendship he's selfish, expects--nay, demands--things of his friends which he'd never in a million years reciprocate, displays a complete lack of empathy, borrows stuff for years on end--sometimes ending in ignorance of ever borrowing items to begin with, thinks everything is about him, thinks only about his own pleasure, takes constructive criticism from concerned individuals as personal attacks, gets upset if he's not a center of attention, demand role playing game campaigns from people but quits each one he plays in within a few sessions, et cetera.

Yet, for reasons known to God alone I still try to maintain our friendship.  Perhaps its out of loyalty to the man I once knew.  Before he met MJ Pot.  She's been a horrible influence on him.  Well, I guess I had better be prepared for him to bail on helping me with LepreCon XXX next weekend.  That's too bad.  It's hard to find help for a Mother's Day weekend convention.

God, grant me greater patience to deal with the Bills of our world.  Grant me the love to help the Bills of our world.  Grant me the wisdom to know what I can and can't do for the Bills of our world.  Grant the Bills of our world a glimpse of Your Light so that You might dispell their darkness.

  • Hang in there, Paul,

Perhaps I can help you with LepreCon that weekend.  I have to work Saturday, but am available Friday, Saturday night, and Sunday.  Let me know what you'd like me to do for you--as long as it doesn't involve getting stuck in a room for many hours at a time.  You need a gopher, or a guide, or an introducer, or a sign mover, or whatever, I'd be happy to help.

As for Bill--whoever he is--sounds like he's on the highway to hell.  You may as well let him go his own way.  My daughter Jillian tipped me to a quiz you might enjoy.  Here's the link.
