  • Uh oh!  Somehow I've become a member in bad standing in Trollhalla.  I wonder what I've done.  I even had a PvP kill while sleeping in the inn these past months with a 1000gp bounty at Trollhalla's Green Dragon.  Is being without a computer that much of crime?  I think it must be because Trollgod warned me that I better post here. 


    Well, Friday night after Rusty's Gamma World (d20) campaign, I got home in time to watch Spunky have a stroke.  Luckily, I was able to be there for him as he passed on.  It was his third (known) stroke in recent years, so he did well to last until ten years and nine months.  My parents came by and took him to be buried on their property, so he's now outside where he always wanted to be.


    Christmas is rather lonely now.  I remember back in high school when my mom first picked up the two of them, she originally only wanted Spunky.  The owner of the litter said that she wouldn't split them up because they were too close, so my mom's choice was to pick someone else from the litter or take both.  The two of them have never liked outsiders, so I won't get her another animal.  Hopefully, she'll adapt to life without him.


    So, I decided to go to DarkCon after that.  I had the chance to play Living Spycraft, a cool non-competitive/team-based Lord of the Rings board game, and my Torches and Pitchforks game that Harley and Lori gave me for Christmas.  That was fun. 


    I saw my grandparents on Sunday when they picked up the Dreamkeeper TV movie I taped for them.  I also gave them some anise cookies I baked on New Years.  They seem to be doing OK, despite what Mom says.


    My parents came to mass and Paul's Cafe again last night, and once again they sat away from everyone else.  I made a comment, but they disagreed with me.  They want me to believe that the far corner of the room is in the middle of everyone.  I don't know what I'm going to do about it.  I like seeing them.  But, it doesn't help engender a sense of community in my parish if they hide us from everyone else.  I guess there's nothing to do but try and try again.


    Today I'm supposed to go to dinner with my father before Orpheus, but Orpheus might be canceled.  So, I'll seee you folks later.  Hopefully, the computer situation will be resolved soon.

  • I'm a member in bad standing, too, but it's b/c I never paid up for 2003 dues. I'm considering paying up my 2004 dues so we'll see if I remain on the Dark Side or not. Welcome back to xangaland... :)
