  • OK, a quick recap of my week:

We watched Horror of Fang Rock and The Image of the Fendahl on Thursday at Jay & Kim's place.  There were both really good horror episodes starring the 4th Doctor and Leela.

Friday we played our D&D FR 3/3 campaign as usual.  Monte's male dwarf sorcerer, Dargh, willingly turned himself into the authorities of Skullport for the death penalty.  The idiot had unleashed a fireball into a tavern killing thirty last session, and the victims' families and friends sentenced him to being wrapped in a burial shroud and buried alive at sea.  It was interesting to see him turn away from his recent evil ways, however I fear we'll see him again as a wereshark sometime in the future.

Saturday the gang played Shadowfist and watched a series of rental DVDs.  In order, we watched Queen of the Damned, episodes one through three of an anime serial called Orphan:  Revenge, City on Fire, and The New Guy

Sunday I went hiking at North Mountain after 150 minutes of sleep.  Following mass we watched the new Mickey's House of Villians.  The church bullitin included the following inspirational quote from a sign in Mother Teresa's children's home in Shishu Bhavan, Calcutta, India that I wanted to share with everyone:

People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered.

    LOVE THEM ANYWAY.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.

    DO GOOD ANYWAY.

If you are successful, you win false and true enemies.

    SUCCEED ANYWAY.

The good you do will be forgotten tomorrow.

    DO GOOD ANYWAY.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.

    BE HONEST AND FRANK ANYWAY.

What you spent years building may be destroyed overnight.

    BUILD ANYWAY.

People really need help, but may attack you if you help them.

    HELP PEOPLE ANYWAY.

Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.

GIVE THE WORLD THE BEST YOU'VE GOT ANYWAY.
